Hypnosis is a totally natural state of mind. When under hypnosis you will feel very relaxed, just like that wonderful feeling when you are lying in your bed feeling very tired and you are so overcome with comfort that you wish the moment could last forever. Through simple hypnotic, relaxation techniques you can easily attain this state at which time it becomes easy, with the help of a trained hypnotherapist, to visualise yourself becoming healthier, happier, more confident or whatever it is that you want to be!
The mind is made up of two parts known as the conscious and the sub-conscious. The conscious mind responds by taking control of everyday decision making whereas the sub-conscious only responds to the way it has been previously programmed.
Your unconscious mind is like a filing cabinet for your brain, holding all your memories, fears and learned behaviours. Hypnotherapy is the process whereby you become deeply or lightly relaxed, guided by words, phrases, suggestions and imagination. In this relaxed, comfortable state, it is easy to bypasses the “busy, conscious” mind to reach your unconscious mind and address the issue that you would like to change.
Some people are afraid they may not be in control but you are in control at all times, no one can make you do anything that you do not want to do.
